Regular Season Round 4: Alexandria - Craiova 75-30

Liga Nationala top team - Alexandria (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Craiova (1-3) 75-30. The game without a history. Alexandria led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Craiova to just 3 points in third and fourth quarters and to 12 points in second half. Alexandria forced 23 Craiova turnovers and outrebounded them 31-20 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international power forward Anca Sipos (185-85) who scored that evening 14 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and American forward Tricia Principe (174) supported her with 7 points and 7 rebounds. Alexandria's coach Madalin Piperea felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 7 points and 5 rebounds by forward Janina Simionca (176-84) did not help to save the game for Craiova. Forward Andreea Olteanu (177-97) added 6 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Alexandria have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with ICIM Arad. Craiova at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with three games lost. They share the position with Galati. Alexandria will play against CSM Targoviste (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Craiova will play against Satu Mare to get more than just one victory in their record.
