The biggest surprise of round 3 in TB2L took place in Manisa where host Vestel (2-1) beat Buyukcekmece (2-1) 71-62 on Wednesday evening. Buyukcekmece was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Buyukcekmece 42-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Buyukcekmece helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Nigerian center Kenny Adeleke (205-83, college: Hartford) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Hazer Avci (206-87, agency: Court Side) chipped in 23 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Paris Horne (191-87, college: St.John's) who recorded 14 points and naturalized Bulgarian forward Musa Gunes (200-85) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Buyukcekmece's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Buyukcekmece will play next round against Istanbul B.B. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Vestel will try to continue on its current victory against Akhisar Bld on the road.
