Regular Season Round 6: ALBA - MBC 86-73
Date: October 26, 2013
Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (1-5) lost on the road to tenth ranked ALBA Berlin (3-1) 86-73. The game was mostly controlled by ALBA Berlin. Mitteldeutscher BC was better in third quarter 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ALBA Berlin made 25-of-30 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Canadian-Irish power forward Levon Kendall (209-84, college: Pittsburgh) who scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. American swingman Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. Four ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Italian forward Angelo Caloiaro (203-89, college: USF) who recorded 21 points and 9 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and American point guard Adonte Parker (183-89, college: Dayton) added 17 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. ALBA Berlin have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place. Mitteldeutscher BC lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with five games lost. ALBA Berlin's next round opponent will be higher ranked Telekom Bsk (#3) in Bonn and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Mitteldeutscher BC will play at home against the league's second-placed Artland Dragons (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
