There was no surprise when 9th ranked Oradea (1-3) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Alba Iulia (4-1) 100-40 on Saturday. The game without a history. Alba Iulia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oradea to just 4 points in second quarter. Alba Iulia held Oradea to an opponent 17.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Alba Iulia forced 25 Oradea turnovers and outrebounded them 42-21 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Chastity Reed (185-89, college: UALR) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds.
