Regular Season Round 5: Concordia - CSU Sibiu 62-86

Fifth ranked CSU Sibiu blasted bottom-ranked Concordia (0-5) in Chiajna 86-62 on Saturday evening. Concordia is still unable to win any game. The game without a history. CSU Sibiu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Concordia's 28. They outrebounded Concordia 43-32 including 16 on the offensive glass. Bosnian-Croatian guard Matija Ceskovic (192-81) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. American forward Devon Austin (198-87, college: Manhattan) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four CSU Sibiu players scored in double figures. Serbian guard Nemanja Petrovic (192-90) answered with 24 points and 4 assists and Serbian forward Aleksandar Vuletic (202-86, college: Indian Hills CC) added 6 points and 17 rebounds in the effort for Concordia. Concordia's coach Vladimir Lucic gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. CSU Sibiu have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Oradea and Ploiesti. Newly promoted Concordia still closes the standings with five games lost. CSU Sibiu will face Timba Timosoara (#12) in Timisoara in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Concordia will play on the road against Targu Mures and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
