Bottom-ranked s Oliver Baskets is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to third ranked Artland Dragons (5-1) 79-74 on Saturday evening. s Oliver Baskets were trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 24-18 charge of Artland Dragons, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St., agency: Priority Sports) notched 26 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Lawrence Hill (203-87, college: Stanford) supported him with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Even 11 points and 6 rebounds by the former international center Christopher McNaughton (211-82, college: Bucknell, agency: Pro One Sports) did not help to save the game for s Oliver Baskets. American point guard Tweety Carter (180-86, college: Baylor) added 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Artland Dragons and five s Oliver Baskets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Artland Dragons have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Telekom Bsk. Loser s Oliver Baskets still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Bremerhaven. Artland Dragons will meet Mitteldeutscher BC (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. s Oliver Baskets will play against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven and look forward to get finally their first victory.
