Banvit BK (3-0) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat Turk Telekom (1-2) in Ankara 81-73. Turk Telekom trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 23-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 73-81 at the end of the game. It was a good game for American-Azerbaijani center Charles Davis (205-84, college: Alabama) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. International center Dusan Cantekin (221-90, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Banvit BK's coach Dimitris Itoudis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Croatian center Luksa Andric (208-85, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Kerem Tunceri (191-79) added 16 points and 9 assists in the effort for Turk Telekom. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Banvit BK will face Royal Hali in Gaziantep in the next round. Turk Telekom will play on the road against Selcuk Universitesi (#15) in Konya and hope to win that game.
