Regular Season Round 2: Leotar - Gradanski 88-84

Leotar used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Bijeljina 88-84 on Saturday night. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-16. But Gradanski won second period 27-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Leotar shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Montenegrin guard Milorad Sutulovic (196-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Serbian guard Ivan Vukadinov (193-81) contributed with 27 points and 6 assists for the winners. Serbian guard Pavle Boljkovac (190-85, agency: Kotnik Sports Agency) replied with 22 points and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Serbian forward Vuksan Gagovic (202-84) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Gradanski. Four Gradanski players scored in double figures. Gradanski's coach Aleksandar Icic tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Leotar will face Bosna ASA BHT (#5) in Sarajevo in the next round. Gradanski will play at home against Varda HE (#3) and hope to win that game.
