Ovarense (1-0) outlasted Alges (0-1) in overtime by four points 89-85. Alges were ahead by 6 points after three quarters before a 33-27 charge of Ovarense, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 15-11. Ovarense made 26-of-30 charity shots (86.7 percent) during the game. Alges were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch.
