Not a big story in a game when Konak (0-3) lost to Ceyhan Bld (2-1) in Adana 63-71. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-16. But Konak won second period 17-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Ceyhan Bld won last quarter 18-12. They made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (193-89, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). point guard Asena Yalcin (172-91) helped adding 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). The best for the losing side was American forward Christi Thomas (191-82, college: Georgia) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import forward LaToya Thomas (188-81, college: Mississippi St.) scored 16 points. Ceyhan Bld will play against Mersin (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Konak will play against Orduspor and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
