Budivelnyk was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 19-14 charge of Halychyna, which allowed them to win the game. Halychyna outrebounded Budivelnyk 42-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American Kyndall Dykes (190-87, college: New Orleans, agency: Edge Sports) who scored 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Naturalized Belarusian Dmitri Paliashchuk (199-85, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Dykes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian center Darjus Lavrinovic (212-79) who recorded 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks and American forward DaJuan Summers (203-88, college: Georgetown, agency: Priority Sports) added 19 points respectively. Four Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. Halychyna will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Budivelnyk will play against Mykolaiv (#10) in Mykolaiv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
