Regular Season Round 3: Suduva - Utena 90-52

The game between Suduva (3-0) and Utena (0-3) in Marijampole on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Suduva outscored guests from Utena 90-52. The game without a history. Suduva led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Utena's 36 and made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Suduva forced 26 Utena turnovers and outrebounded them 36-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a quality performance for Ukrainian center Elena Staschuk (192-85, agency: LBM Management) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. point guard Rita Milieskiene (175-78) accounted for 12 points, 6 assists and 4 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winning side. Five Suduva players scored in double figures. American forward Vita Zilinskaite (190-93, college: UTEP) came up with 12 points and Belarusian center Lidia Panasiuk (187-85) added 11 points respectively for Utena in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Suduva will meet Kibirkstis-VICI in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Utena will play against Ruta-Univ. (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
