Regular Season Round 6: Farul Const. - BC Timisoara 60-102

Bottom-ranked Farul Const. (0-6) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to fifth ranked BC Timisoara (4-2) 102-60 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. BC Timisoara led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Farul Const.'s 36 and made 28-of-34 free shots (82.4 percent) during the game. BC Timisoara forced 27 Farul Const. turnovers and outrebounded them 31-19 including 20 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Anthony Lee-Ingram (195-88, college: Brescia, KY, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian forward Vladimir Panic (194-82, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four BC Timisoara players scored in double figures. BC Timisoara's coach Tudor Costescu felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was center Georgian Paun (202-94) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and center Marian Minea (203-85) added 19 points respectively. BC Timisoara moved-up to fourth place, which they share with U.Mobitel.CN and Rovinari. Loser Farul Const. still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Concordia. BC Timisoara will meet at home league's leader Oradea in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Farul Const. will play against the league's second-placed Ploiesti (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
