Regular Season Round 6: Cluj Napoca - Targu Mures 65-52

Cluj Napoca's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Targu Mures (0-6) 65-52 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Cluj Napoca's pressure prevailed and they won that period 23-13 extending their advantage to 13 points. Cluj Napoca forced 26 Targu Mures turnovers and outrebounded them 52-32 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Hungarian center Judit Kajdacsi (192-79, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 23 rebounds. Forward Flavia Ferenczi (175-91) contributed with 27 points for the winners. Forward Alexandra Vlaicu (178-91) replied with 13 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and American forward Soulijah Evans (186-90, college: Holy Names) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Targu Mures. Cluj Napoca (1-5) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with Craiova. It was Targu Mures' sixth loss in a row. They still closes the standings with six games lost. Cluj Napoca is looking forward to face Craiova (#13) in Craiova in the next round. Targu Mures will play at home against Timisoara and hope to get finally their first victory.
