Regular Season Round 2: Bursa BSB - Kocaeli 54-59

There was no surprise when Bursa BSB (0-2) lost at home to Kocaeli (2-0) 59-54 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Bursa BSB won fourth quarter 8-7. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kocaeli forced 24 Bursa BSB turnovers. Guard Gulnur Akpinar (173-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Tugba Battal (-94) contributed with 6 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ferda Yildiz (183-93) replied with 9 points and 8 rebounds and Aycan Aktas (-95) added 8 points in the effort for Bursa BSB. Bursa BSB's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Kocaeli will face Kastamonu (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
