ProA top team - BG Goettingen (10-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat eleventh ranked ETB Wohnbau (5-6) in Essen 78-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ETB Wohnbau. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when BG Goettingen's pressure prevailed and they won that period 25-10 extending their advantage to 18 points. The winners were led by American guard Alex Ruoff (198-86, college: W.Virginia) who scored that evening 25 points and the other American import guard David Godbold (196-85, college: Oklahoma) supported him with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Even 19 points and 5 assists by American point guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) did not help to save the game for ETB Wohnbau. Nigerian-American forward Michael Fakuade (202-89, college: Ill.-Springfield, agency: N.E.T.) added 9 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BG Goettingen have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-1 record.
