Regular Season Round 3: Atomeromu - MTK 76-67

The game between Top Four teams took place in Szekszard. host Atomeromu (3-1) defeated MTK (1-3)MTK was trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 25-15 charge of Atomeromu, which allowed them to win the game. Atomeromu outrebounded MTK 42-19 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Dorina Zele (185-92) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Serbian guard Maja Scekic (169-87, agency: IPSA) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Atomeromu's coach Gergely Magyar used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Dora Medgyessy (174-86) who recorded 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Bosnian center Dragana Svitlica (190-88, agency: IPSA) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks respectively. Atomeromu will meet ZTE NKK in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. MTK's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Budapest MKB Eurl.Vasas.
