Regular Season Round 6: Tonybet - Lietkabelis 90-74

LKL top team - Tonybet (6-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Lietkabelis (0-5) in Prienai 90-74. The game was mostly controlled by Tonybet. Lietkabelis managed to win second period 29-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tonybet looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Lietkabelis' players. It was a good game for guard Gintaras Kadziulis (192-80) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 7 assists. Forward Arturas Valeika (207-85, college: Midland CC) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. American guard Tony Bennett (185-84, college: Bradley, agency: Worldwide Career Management) replied with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Darius Griskenas (196-84) added 18 points in the effort for Lietkabelis. Five Tonybet and four Lietkabelis players scored in double figures. Tonybet maintains first position with 6-1 record. Lietkabelis at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Tonybet are looking forward to face LSU-Atletas (#7) in Kaunas in the next round where they are favorite. Lietkabelis will play at home against Siauliai (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
