Regular Season Round 7: CSU Sibiu - Craiova 82-70

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Craiova (3-4) was defeated on the road by third ranked CSU Sibiu (6-1) 82-70. Craiova was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 46-32 second half run of CSU Sibiu. They outrebounded Craiova 41-24 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. 29 personal fouls committed by Craiova helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian guard Milos Bojovic (198-81, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds. Bosnian-Croatian guard Matija Ceskovic (192-81) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Four CSU Sibiu players scored in double figures. The former international forward Bogdan Popescu (200-78, college: Alaska-Fairb.) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and American guard LeVar Seals (195-82, college: De Paul) added 19 points in the effort for Craiova. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for CSU Sibiu. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Ploiesti. Craiova lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with four games lost. CSU Sibiu's next round opponent will be Gaz Metan (#11) in Medias and are hoping to win another game. Craiova will play at home against Timba Timosoara and hope to win that game.
