Very important is a road loss of third ranked SV Halle Lions (4-3) against eighth ranked Eisvogel Freiburg (3-4) on Saturday night. Visiting SV Halle Lions were defeated by Eisvogel Freiburg in a tough game in Freiburg 60-68. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But SV Halle Lions won fourth quarter 14-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Eisvogel Freiburg forced 26 SV Halle Lions turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Brooque Williams (175-89, college: California, PA) who led the winners and scored 23 points. Her fellow American import power forward Mariesa Greene (183-87, college: Barry) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. The former international power forward Katharina Fikiel (194-87) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks and Slovakian Michaela Abelova (184-85) added 17 points respectively for SV Halle Lions in the defeat. Eisvogel Freiburg moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. SV Halle Lions lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with three games lost.
