Regular Season Round 8: Phoenix Hagen - Bremerhaven 89-93

Eisbaeren Bremerhaven can celebrate finally their first win this season after seven consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Phoenix Hagen (3-4)on the road game in Hagen 93-89 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-89. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Darius Adams (182-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Three Eye Sports) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 assists and forward Derrick Allen (203-80, college: Mississippi, agency: Pro One Sports) who added 19 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) during the contest. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (1-7) left bottom position moving up to seventeenth place, which they share with s.Oliver Baskets. It was Phoenix Hagen's fourth loss in a row. They keep the tenth position with four games lost. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will meet at home higher ranked BBC Bayreuth (#11) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
