Regular Season Round 7: Rovinari - Pitesti 82-62

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Pitesti (3-4) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Rovinari (5-2) 82-62. The game was mostly controlled by Rovinari. Pitesti was better in second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Rovinari especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Giordan Watson (178-85, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: IBS) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 assists. Serbian power forward Dalibor Djapa (205-84, agency: Alti Sport) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Rovinari's coach Florin Nini allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Ken Tutt (185-84, college: ORU) answered with 15 points and 8 assists and Senegalese power forward Ousmane Barro (207-84, college: Marquette) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Pitesti. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Rovinari. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with U.Mobitel.CN. Pitesti at the other side keeps the eighth position with four games lost. Rovinari's next round opponent will be BC Timisoara (#7) at home. Pitesti will play against U-Mobitelco and hope to win that game.
