Regular Season Round 7: Vestel - Hacettepe 95-82

Everything could happen in Manisa at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Vestel and 8th ranked Hacettepe had identical 3-3 record. This time Vestel used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Ankara 95-82 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Vestel. Hacettepe managed to win third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Nigerian center Kenny Adeleke (205-83, college: Hartford) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. American guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Vestel's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Nezih Ozbakir (206-80) produced 22 points and guard Osman Orcun Gollu (190-77) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vestel (4-3) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Hacettepe dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Vestel will meet Antalya (#9) on the road in the next round. Hacettepe will play against Buyukcekmece and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the TBL just one year after relegation.
