Regular Season Round 7: SISU - Amager 80-62

Date: November 10, 2013
The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Amager (6-1) in Copenhagen on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by SISU (8-0) 80-62. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Amager. The game was mostly controlled by SISU. Amager managed to win fourth quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Amager's 44. SISU forced 36 Amager turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Nathalie Reshard (183-86, college: Alabama) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Camilla Blands (180-85, college: Alabama) helped adding 8 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. SISU's coach Hrannar Holm used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American power forward Keyona Bryant (186-90, college: St.Augustine) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Emilie Fogelstrom (166-92) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SISU have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-0 record. Amager at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Stevnsgade. SISU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Amager will play on the road against Stevnsgade and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
