We should mention about the upset which took place in Ankara, where higher ranked Galatasaray (3-2) lost to twelfth ranked Turk Telekom (2-3) in a road game 64-70 on Monday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 35-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Turk Telekom made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Turk Telekom outrebounded Galatasaray 37-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Kerem Tunceri (191-79) who scored 15 points and 5 assists. Serbian forward Luka Bogdanovic (210-85, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. British Pops Mensah-Bonsu (206-83, college: G.Washington, agency: SportsTalent) produced 11 points and 6 rebounds and international Goksenin Koksal (195-91) added 10 points respectively for the guests. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Turk Telekom moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Defending champion Galatasaray keeps the fifth position with two games lost. Turk Telekom will face league's second-placed Fenerbahce Ulker in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Galatasaray will play at home against the league's leader Banvit BK and will have a slim chance for a victory.
