Regular Season Round 5: BC Kyiv - Dnipro 73-65

Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Dnipro (1-3) and BC Kyiv (2-5), which took place in Kyiv. 10th ranked Dnipro lost to thirteenth ranked BC Kyiv in a road game 65-73. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. BC Kyiv dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Dnipro's 28. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward Mike Davis (205-88, college: Illinois) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Dominique Coleman (190-84, college: Colorado, agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. International forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (202-89) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and international Olexandr Mishula (192-92) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Kyiv moved-up to tenth place. Dnipro at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. BC Kyiv will have a break next round. Dnipro will play at home against Mykolaiv (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
