The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Mersin Univ. as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group C. Mersin Univ. defeated 6th ranked Nigde Turk Telekom at home 84-73. Mersin Univ. players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by center Kubra Dicle (187-92) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and guard Ilknur Dumlu (176-89) supported her with 18 points and 5 assists. Mersin Univ.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds by Mihrace Bugdayci (-92) did not help to save the game for Nigde Turk Telekom. Saliha Bilen (-95) added 16 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Five Nigde Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Mersin Univ. have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Mulkiye. Nigde Turk Telekom lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with three games lost. Nigde Turk Telekom will play next round against strong Kocaeli trying to get back on the winning streak. Mersin Univ. will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Urla BLD at Izmir.
