Regular Season Round 6: BC Donetsk - Cherkasy 94-82

Superleague top team - BC Donetsk (6-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Cherkasy (1-5) 94-82. The game was mostly controlled by BC Donetsk. Cherkasy was better in second period 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. BC Donetsk players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Cherkasy was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Marco Killingsworth (203-82, college: Indiana) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) supported him with 12 points and 10 assists. Four BC Donetsk players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 6 rebounds by center Jason Washburn (208-90, college: Utah) did not help to save the game for Cherkasy. point guard Terry Smith (185-86, college: Mercyhurst) added 19 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BC Donetsk have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Cherkasy lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with five games lost. BC Donetsk will play against Halychyna (#9) in Lviv in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cherkasy will play on the road against BC Odessa (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
