Regular Season Round 6: Dnipro - Mykolaiv 65-78
Date: November 15, 2013
10th ranked Dnipro (1-4) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Mykolaiv (2-3) with the biggest margin this round 78-65 on Friday night. The game was mostly controlled by Mykolaiv. Dnipro managed to win second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Kervin Bristol (206-88, college: Fordham) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Polish point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (179-84) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Mykolaiv players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (202-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Oleksii Shchepkin (191-89) added 9 points and 7 assists respectively. Dnipro's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Mykolaiv moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Halychyna. Dnipro lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost. Mykolaiv will meet at home league's second-placed Khimik in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Dnipro will play against Ferro-ZNTU (#6) and hope to win that game.
