Regular Season Round 7: Fortuna - Suduva 73-75

LMKL round 7 most important game was a victory of Suduva over 3rd placed Fortuna 75-73 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fortuna. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 22-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Suduva forced 24 Fortuna turnovers. Strangely Fortuna outrebounded Suduva 39-22 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of center Ieva Preskienyte (193-93) who helped to win the game recording 18 points. Guard Dovile Saurazaite (174-92) contributed with 16 points and 7 steals (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Suduva players scored in double figures. International point guard Gabriele Gutkauskaite (175-90) answered with 20 points and 5 assists and international power forward Egle Siksniute (198-91) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Fortuna. Suduva (5-2) moved-up to third place. Fortuna at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Suduva are looking forward to face Aistes-LSU (#5) in Kaunas in the next round. Fortuna will play at home against Ruta-Univ. and is hoping to win this game.
