There was a surprise result in Ankara where sixteenth ranked Buyukcekmece (3-5) defeated higher ranked Hacettepe (3-5) 79-71 on Saturday. Hacettepe trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 30-22 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-79 at the end of the game. Buyukcekmece shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Erdem Turetken (199-79) who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Alican Guney (194-89, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds.
