Regular Season Round 8: Targu Mures - Alba Iulia 40-88

Bottom-ranked Targu Mures (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 88-40 loss to second ranked Alba Iulia (7-1) in Targu Mures. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The game without a history. Alba Iulia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Targu Mures to just 4 points in third quarter. Alba Iulia have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-1 record behind leader ICIM Arad, which they share with Alexandria. Targu Mures at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Alba Iulia will play against Craiova (#13) in Craiova in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Targu Mures will play on the road against the league's leader ICIM Arad and hope to get finally their first victory.
