Regular Season Round 7: Orduspor - TED Ankara 69-63

Bottom-ranked TED Ankara (0-7) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to twelfth ranked Orduspor (2-5) 69-63 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-19. But TED Ankara won second period 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Orduspor forced 24 TED Ankara turnovers. American point guard Tan White (170-82, college: Mississippi St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Gizem Yavuz (170-88) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Marcedes Marie Walker (191-86, college: Pittsburgh, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Constance Jinks (170-81, college: UNLV, agency: Merit Management Group) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Orduspor moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Konak. TED Ankara lost their seventh game in a row. They still closes the standings with seven games lost. Orduspor will meet higher ranked Istanbul Universitesi (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TED Ankara will play against Tarsus Bld (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
