Regular Season Round 6: Trabzonspor - Aliaga 96-64

Trabzonspor's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Aliaga (1-5) 96-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Trabzonspor led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Aliaga's 34. They outrebounded Aliaga 41-20 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Trabzonspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). International guard Can Mutaf (190-91) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Trabzonspor players scored in double figures. American point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) replied with 19 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman Sean Marshall (198-85, college: Boston Coll.) added 18 points in the effort for Aliaga. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Trabzonspor left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Aliaga. It was Aliaga's third loss in a row. Trabzonspor is looking forward to face higher ranked Tofas (#10) in Bursa in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aliaga will play at home against Usak and is hoping to win this game.
