Regular Season Round 12: Delikatesas - JAZZ-KTU 85-50

The most important game in the last round took place in Joniskis between second ranked JAZZ-KTU (8-3) and seventh ranked Delikatesas (7-4) on Saturday night. JAZZ-KTU was crushed by Delikatesas on the road 50-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JAZZ-KTU. The game without a history. Delikatesas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to JAZZ-KTU's 26 and made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while JAZZ-KTU only scored three points from the stripe. Delikatesas forced 23 JAZZ-KTU turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for guard Aivaras Kvedaravicius (185-88) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) contributed with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Power forward Giedrius Staniulis (205-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and guard Deividas Sabeckis (190-92) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for JAZZ-KTU. JAZZ-KTU's coach Rolandas Urkis gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Delikatesas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. JAZZ-KTU at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with TiuMenas-Ezer. and Silute. Delikatesas are looking forward to face Vilnius-MRU (#9) on the road in the next round. JAZZ-KTU will play against Silute (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
