Regular Season Round 6: TED Kolejliler - Anadolu Efes 62-74

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Anadolu Efes (4-2) won against one of their biggest challengers TED Kolejliler (4-2) in Ankara 74-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Anadolu Efes. TED Kolejliler was better in third quarter 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Anadolu Efes made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. TED Kolejliler was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Serbian Dusko Savanovic (204-83, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Greek swingman Kostas Vasiliadis (200-84, agency: FCM) contributed with 9 points and 5 assists for the winners. Montenegrin-Serbian center Vladimir Golubovic (213-86, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian power forward Vanja Plisnic (207-80, agency: Beo Basket) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for TED Kolejliler. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Anadolu Efes have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with TED Kolejliler and Usak. Anadolu Efes will face Olin Edirne (#8) at home in the next round. TED Kolejliler will play against Besiktas (#11) in Istanbul and hope to win that game.
