There was a minor upset when 6th ranked TSV Amicitia (4-4) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked TG 1889 Sandhausen (4-4) 79-71 on Saturday. TSV Amicitia was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of British guard Nicole How (168) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Simone Grunert-Baier (178-78) who added 8 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. TG 1889 Sandhausen's coach Nicolai Coputerco used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American forward Alysa Horn (182-90, college: Alaska-Anch.) responded with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Sidney Parsons (168-87, college: Bridgeport) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. TG 1889 Sandhausen moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated TSV Amicitia.
