Very expected game when 11th ranked Oberhausen (2-6) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked ChemCats Chemnitz (5-3) 75-62 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-62. The best player for the winners was American forward Candace Williams (184-88, college: New Hampshire) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Dutch power forward Fieke Ligthart (185-90) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four ChemCats Chemnitz players scored in double figures. Fijian guard Valerie Nainima (168-86, college: S.Carolina) produced 13 points and the former international point guard Lea Mersch (170-87) added 10 points respectively for the guests. ChemCats Chemnitz moved-up to second place, which they share with Halle and Rhein MB. Oberhausen lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with six games lost.
