The game in Utena was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Zalgiris (4-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Juventus (3-6). Zalgiris did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 75-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Juventus. It looked good early as Juventus took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Zalgiris had a 19-12 second period charge getting the lead and Juventus was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 56-75. Zalgiris forced 19 Juventus turnovers. The former international Paulius Jankunas (203-84, agency: Alti Sport) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. The former international center Ksistof Lavrinovic (209-79) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Zalgiris players scored in double figures. Zalgiris' coach Saulius Stombergas used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Aidas Viskontas (183-86) replied with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Russian forward Nikita Barinov (203-91) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Juventus. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Juventus at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Siauliai. Zalgiris will play against bottom-ranked Lietkabelis (#11) in Panevezys in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
