Regular Season Round 6: SC Kryvbas - Budivelnyk 64-71

There was a minor upset in Kryvyi Rih where 6th ranked SC Kryvbas (3-3) were defeated by eighth ranked Budivelnyk (3-3) 71-64 on Monday. SC Kryvbas were trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 20-12 charge of Budivelnyk, which allowed them to win the game. They made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. Budivelnyk outrebounded SC Kryvbas 47-35 including 36 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was naturalized Lithuanian center Michailis Anisimovas (216-84) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. American forward DaJuan Summers (203-88, college: Georgetown, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Winsome Frazier (193-82, college: Mississippi St.) who recorded 14 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Solomon Bozeman (185-87, college: UALR) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively. SC Kryvbas' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with SC Kryvbas and Ferro-ZNTU. Budivelnyk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. SC Kryvbas will play against DniproAzot (#14) and hope to secure a win.
