The game in Kaunas supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked TiuMenas-Ezer. (10-3) played at the court of 6th ranked JAZZ-KTU (8-5). TiuMenas-Ezer. smashed JAZZ-KTU 104-71 on Saturday. The game without a history. TiuMenas-Ezer. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to JAZZ-KTU's 38. It was a great shooting night for TiuMenas-Ezer. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by JAZZ-KTU's players. The best player for the winners was forward Osvaldas Macernis (200-82) who scored 22 points. point guard Tomas Gaidamavicius (191-82) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Gintautas Kybartas (203-94) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard Arturas Lencevicius (186-87) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. JAZZ-KTU's coach Rolandas Urkis gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. TiuMenas-Ezer. have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Mazeikiai and Trakai. JAZZ-KTU lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with five games lost. TiuMenas-Ezer. will meet at home Silute (#5) in the next round. JAZZ-KTU will play against Vilnius-MRU and hope to secure a win.
