BBL top team - Bayern Muenchen (9-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighteenth ranked s Oliver Baskets (1-9) in Wuerzburg 95-86. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Bayern Muenchen made 33-of-40 free shots (82.5 percent) during the game, while s Oliver Baskets only scored eleven points from the stripe. American center John Bryant (208-87, college: Santa Clara) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Malcolm Delaney (191-89, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side international Maximilian Kleber (207-92, agency: LUMANI 10.7) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Jimmy McKinney (192-83, college: Missouri) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bayern Muenchen maintains first position with 9-1 record. s Oliver Baskets lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Bayern Muenchen are looking forward to face Mitteldeutscher BC (#14) in Weissenfels in the next round which should be an easy win for them. s Oliver Baskets will play on the road against Telekom Bsk (#4) in Bonn and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
