Everything went according to plan in Tuebingen where eleventh ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (5-5) beat 16th ranked Walter Tigers (2-8) 76-67 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 41-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Canadian-American guard Andrew Rautins (193-86, college: Syracuse) scored 17 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Danilo Barthel (207-91) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Serbian forward Aleksandar Nadjfeji (203-76, agency: LUMANI 10.7) responded with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Tyrone Nash (203-88, college: Notre Dame) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Deutsche Bank Skyliners moved-up to ninth place, which they share with NY Phantoms and Ludwigsburg. Walter Tigers lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will face higher ranked Phoenix Hagen (#8) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Walter Tigers will play against ratiopharm Ulm (#7) and hope to win that game.
