Undefeated leader Gruner Stern Keltern delivered the ninth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked TG 1889 Sandhausen (4-5) 86-50. The game without a history. Gruner Stern Keltern led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding TG 1889 Sandhausen to just 7 points in second quarter. Gruner Stern Keltern dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to TG 1889 Sandhausen's 26. They outrebounded TG 1889 Sandhausen 54-27 including a 35-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was naturalized American guard Margaret Dwyer (185-85, college: Missouri St.) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. American center Grovinya Underwood (186) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was British guard Nicole How (168) who recorded 22 points and 5 rebounds and forward Jennifer Klett (179-84) added 15 points respectively. Gruner Stern Keltern (9-0) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place in South with a perfect record of 9 victories in a row. Loser TG 1889 Sandhausen dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Gruner Stern Keltern will face TSV Amicitia (#8) in Viernheim in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TG 1889 Sandhausen will play on the road against BasCats Heidelberg and hope to win that game.
