Regular Season Round 14: Radviliskis - Vilnius-MRU 81-85

Very predictable result when ninth ranked Vilnius-MRU (6-7) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Radviliskis (2-11) 85-81. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Radviliskis won third quarter 24-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 25 personal fouls committed by Radviliskis helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Paulius Semaska (186-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Forward Remigijus Sugintas (200-87) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Center Vaidas Trepocka (200-80, agency: Court Side) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and guard Lukas Pipiras (192-89) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Radviliskis. Four Vilnius-MRU and five Radviliskis players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Vilnius-MRU moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Zalgiris II. Radviliskis lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Vilnius-MRU's next round opponent will be higher ranked JAZZ-KTU (#6) in Kaunas and it may be quite challenging game. Radviliskis will play at home against Zanavykas (#10) and hope to win that game.
