Regular Season Round 8: TED Ankara - Tarsus Bld 62-73

Bottom-ranked TED Ankara (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 73-62 loss to thirteenth ranked Tarsus Bld (2-6) in Ankara on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Tarsus Bld. TED Ankara managed to win fourth quarter 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American center Marcedes Marie Walker (191-86, college: Pittsburgh, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Lithuanian guard Kamile Nacickaite (180-89, college: Drexel) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Tarsus Bld moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser TED Ankara still closes the standings with eight games lost. Tarsus Bld will meet at home higher ranked Istanbul Universitesi (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. TED Ankara will play against the league's second-placed Kayseri (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
