There was no surprise in Giessen where 6th ranked Hannover (4-5) was defeated by third ranked Krofdorf/Gleib. (6-3) 70-64 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 27-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was guard Jennifer Mocanu (172) who scored 27 points and 6 rebounds. American center Mara Hjelle (187-89, college: Wayne St., NE) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Rayven Johnson (173-91, college: NJIT) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Dorothea Richter (176-83) added 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively. Krofdorf/Gleib. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Opladen and Gruenberg.
