Regular Season Round 6: Kirovograd - Musson 67-61

Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Kirovograd (4-1) defeated at home 10th ranked Musson (1-3) 67-61 on Sunday. Kirovograd made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Musson was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Quintrell Thomas (203-90, college: UNLV, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard DeAndre Mays (188-87, college: Youngstown St., agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Evgen Korovyakov (197-88) with 20 points and 5 rebounds and forward Dimitri Shevchenko (197-85) scored 11 points. Musson's coach Sergei Tsimbal rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kirovograd moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Avangard and BK Donetsk-2. Loser Musson keeps the tenth position with three games lost. Kirovograd will have a break next round. Musson will play at home against Avangard (#5) and hope to win that game.
