Regular Season Round 10: Bremerhaven - Telekom Bsk 72-80

Date: November 24, 2013
Very predictable result when fourth ranked Telekom Bsk (8-2) defeated on the road 14th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (2-8) 80-72 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Eisbaeren Bremerhaven won third quarter 25-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Jared Jordan (188-84, college: Marist, agency: Pro One Sports) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian guard Benas Veikalas (192-83, college: Metro St.) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Five Telekom Bsk players scored in double figures. Telekom Bsk's coach Matthias Fischer used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American point guard Darius Adams (182-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Three Eye Sports) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Devin Searcy (208-89, college: Dayton, agency: IBS) scored 8 points and 13 rebounds. Telekom Bsk moved-up to third place, which they share with Brose Bask. Loser Eisbaeren Bremerhaven dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Telekom Bsk will face bottom-ranked s Oliver Baskets (#18) in Wuerzburg in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will play on the road against ALBA Berlin and hope to win that game.
