We should mention about the upset which took place in Adana, where 9th ranked Botas (3-5) lost at home to twelfth ranked Canik Bld (2-6) 69-75. It was a great shooting night for Canik Bld especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. The winners were led by American-Armenian swingman Quianna Chaney (180-86, college: LSU) who scored that evening 23 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and American forward Lauren Ervin (191-85, college: Arkansas, agency: Two Points) supported her with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds by American center Michelle Snow (196-80, college: Tennessee, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Botas. Hungarian power forward Anna Vadja (191-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 12 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Canik Bld moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Botas at the other side keeps the ninth position with five games lost. Canik Bld's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ceyhan Bld (#8) in Adana and it may be quite challenging game.
